Can I claim back my repair costs?

The Motor Breakdown policy covers the initial labour cost required to provide assistance at your home or at the roadside. It does not include any labour costs incurred at the garage or the cost of any replacement parts or other materials used to repair the vehicle.

How do I make a claim?

You must contact the insurer first to obtain authorisation before incurring any expenses. To do this please call the emergency phone number on 0800 358 1255 either in the UK or +44 1444 44 2992 from Europe. Age UK Motor Breakdown Claims Helpline operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you need to make a claim after you return home, you will need to get a claim form and then return it. A claims form can be obtained from or by calling Intana on 01444 442992.

What if I change my mind?

If you are not satisfied with your policy you can cancel at any time by telephoning or writing to Age UK. You will only be charged for the time you have been on cover unless a claim has been made. If a claim has been made you will need to pay the full annual premium.

How can I pay?

You can pay in full by credit or debit card, by cash (by visiting your local Age UK), cheque or postal order.

Will I have to pay any additional charges or fees once I have paid the premium?

There are no hidden admin fees. This policy will not make you pay an additional administration fee when you make a change to your policy. Things like requesting duplicate insurance documents are free. An additional premium will only be requested if your change affects the premium required for the risk (an example of this would be 'changing your vehicle'). Where this is less than £10, a request for additional payment will not be made nor a refund issued.
